My name is Alexandra Sternin, I am a graphic designer, art director, illustrator and visual artist, and work on projects that have a positive impact – be it social, environmental, or just creative.
I was introduced to pencils and paint when I was young, and immediately knew this was my thing. Initially I wanted to design theater sets or textiles, eventually settling on painting which I studied formally both in school and university, followed by a Bachelor degree in Graphic design (in California), and postgraduate degrees in Illustration (in Barcelona, Spain).
I have made my rounds as a designer/illustrator and art director in companies large and small – starting with HP, then later with start-ups and advertising agencies in New York and Barcelona. Eventually I ended up as an independent creative. I’ve always stayed on the hands-on side of design, since what I enjoy most is the visual problem solving and actually doing the creative work.
